Hey! My name is Kirkland, founder of K-Benson Studio! It all started when I was a child. I received my most favorite Christmas gift which was a camcorder. I recorded absolutely everything and developed an obsession with film. When I was in 8th grade I noticed some of my peers taking portraits of their friends, so I decided to give it a shot. This was the moment I realized that my passion went beyond a camcorder.

Overtime, my desire for videography faded as my passion for photography grew stronger. However, during sophomore year of high school, my mom and I were signing up for potential electives I could take. Out of the many electives, there were only two available: film and culinary. Let’s just say I wasn’t allowed in the kitchen… so I chose film. I let the classes go by while not giving it too much effort towards it at all. But one day, an opportunity arose to serve on the media team at my church, and I hesitantly took it. I then slowly, but surely fell in love with media and content creation all over again.
